Fundraising

There are several ways to raise funds, that are easy on your pocketbook but can really add up to make a difference for our school. The following programs show you how your normal, day-to-day purchases can add up to big contributions. With about 300 families in attendance, Grace Christian Schools has the potential to earn thousands, in support of our childrens’ school programs.

	We are so excited to announce the introduction of the GCS Scrip Program. Scrip is simple. Scrip is every day purchases. Scrip is fun. Purchase gift cards and gift certificates for everyday shopping as well as special occasions. Each Scrip purchase earns a contribution for Grace Christian Schools. Our school will bless the families that entrust their kids to us by banking half of your earnings usable toward tuition, fees, field trips, or other school expenses. The Scrip office will be open Monday mornings during drop-off, 8:30-9:15AM, and on Friday afternoons, 2:15-3:00PM. Holiday hours will be posted in advance with plenty of time for ordering. Completed Order Form turned in on Monday will be available on Friday of the same week.
	Box Tops for Education is a fundraising program provided to schools by General Mills. It doesn’t require you to donate money. Instead, money is earned by clipping and turning in Box Tops for Education labels from food and paper products. Grace Christian Schools will earn .10 cents for every label turned in! Please look for and clip Box Tops for Education labels from your grocery store items. Box Top for Education labels are found on hundreds of participating General Mills products, including numerous cereals, fruit snacks, Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, Yoplait, Old El Paso, and Tortinos foods, as well as on Ziploc and Kleenex brand products. After clipping the labels, trim, and tape, glue, or staple them to a Box Tops for Education Collection Worksheet.  When all the slots are filled, please return the worksheet to school (make sure worksheet has student and teacher name on it) Another option is to place ten Box Tops for Education labels in a baggie marked with student and teacher name.
	When you register your Target Redcard and list Grace Christian Schools as your school of choice, 1% of your total Target Redcard purchases will be donated directly to Grace Christian Schools.
	Do you ever wonder what you should do for dinner? Well, once a month, Grace has the answer to your question. One night a month throughout the school year, Grace will be having a Dine Out Night where you can dine out at a local restaurant and 15-20% of your bill will be given to Grace Christian Schools. It’s a great way to support the school and connect with other Grace Families.
	The OC Fund Card Fundraiser offers convenient, credit card sized cards that pack a big value with 32 peel-off coupons plus a continuous-use panel. The cards sell for $15, and our school receives $9 for each card sold! Proceeds of this fundraiser will go towards purchasing artificial turf to go under the Mulberry tree on the playground.
	The Grace Gala is the largest fundraiser of the school year. This year, the Gala is set for Friday, March 30, 2012 at 6:30PM. We hope you can join us for an evening of great food, fun, entertainment, laughter, fellowship, and the opportunity to help support our wonderful school, while enjoying an evening out. All proceeds directly benefit GCS. It is never too early to get started, and we are looking for new items for the silent and live auctions such as event tickets, gift certificates, and/or gift cards to local businesses. Since many businesses in the community have generously donated their goods and services in the past, all we need to do is ask!Donations are tax deductible and sponsors are recognized and promoted on a display board at the Gala! 	GCS is participating in the Campbell’s Labels for Education program. Save the UPCs and Caps from all participating Campbell’s Labels For Education brands. Labels For Education is committed to helping schools earn FREE educational merchandise. Click on the link, www.labelsforeducation.com, to see the different ways to save AND all the products involved. You will be surprised how many of these participating products you have in your home. So simple. All you have to do is fill up the UPC Collection Sheet with your clipped UPC coupons and turn it into the School Office.
