Jr. High School Information

We are pleased announce the addition of 7th and 8th grade classes. As we are growing these classes, we will begin with a 7th grade class for the 2017/2018 school year. Applications will be accepted beginning October 15, 2016. The following school year we will naturally grow into 8th grade for 2018/2019.

GCS’s Junior High School is a challenging program for grades 7 and 8 helping students make the transition between Elementary School and High School academically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. During these years of adolescence, your teenager is undergoing more developmental change than any other time in their life, except the first two months of life. It is a time of reasoning, critical thinking, finding their identities, and fueling their creativeness and individual passions. It is a time where they are still willing to listen to their parents but are also finding their independence and questioning everything. Our Junior High School program will include a rigorous academic program with multiple elective choices to develop students’ skills and allow them to explore their interests.

We are planning to offer students a full range of sports programs and the opportunity to participate in many social events throughout the year. Extra-curricular activities include the opportunity to participate in Student Council, the Chapel Worship team, an innovative STEM program, Spelling Bee, a Capstone Career Project, and a United States History trip to New York/Washington D.C.

Why not choose to continue the Christian foundation for learning you have come to love at Grace Christian Schools! We provide a safe place for your teenager to voice their questions, to fuel their creative interests, to hold their spiritual training as important as their academic achievement. We look forward to this responsibility to help shape and mold our students into a world changer – a young adult who will no doubt impact our world for Christ!

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you
into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn
to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
Romans 12:2 NLT
