What is Grace Christian Preschool’s Clubhouse Summer Camp?
We offer nine weeks of fun themed camps during the summer. Campers will enjoy physical activities, crafts, games, music, snacks, stories, and more! Preschool Summer Camp is open to GCS preschool students only that are enrolled in our preschool program for the current or incoming school year. Campers must be 2 years old by June 1st of the current school year.
New Students: If your child is new to our school, it is required for you to submit the supplemental enrollment forms required by the State of California, Community Care Licensing Division, to the Preschool Office before your child starts summer camp as well as the school year. All students are expected to meet GCS immunization requirements. Please CLICK HERE to view an excerpt from our Grace Christian Schools – Preschool Parent Handbook regarding required immunizations.
Staff: Our preschool staff run our camps exclusively. This is a great opportunity for your child to get familiar with our preschool staff before school begins in the fall and for your child to get to know us and the campus. This helps to make the first days of school a much easier transition in September.
Registration & Tuition: There is a one-time $25 registration fee per child during your initial Summer Camp registration. Registration for Preschool Summer Camp begins in April of the current school year and closes at 3:00pm the Wednesday prior to the week a camp begins OR when capacity is reached. Any registration made after that time is not guaranteed. You may enroll in one camp schedule option each week; special schedules are not permitted.
Payment for Preschool Summer Camp is separate from regular tuition and will be processed the week before each camp begins via your FACTS account. Tuition costs are set and will not be prorated for days not used. Payment for Preschool Summer Camp holds your child’s spot. There are NO refunds, credits, date exchanges, or carryovers for days missed due to sickness, vacations, etc.
Schedule Changes & Fees: If space is available, you may make ONE change to a preexisting camp reservation. One week (7 days) notice of schedule change is required. Last-minute schedule changes will NOT be accepted. Any additional changes will be charged $10 per change.
Chapel & Curriculum: We will have chapel once a week to present a Bible story, sing praise songs, and learn Bible verses. We will have a weekly theme that is enhanced by art projects, indoor and outdoor activities, music, Bible stories, and more.
Water Play Day & Movie Day Fridays: On Fridays, campers will have either a Water Play Day or a Movie Day in the morning. On Movie Day Friday, campers will enjoy a fun Veggie Tales movie and popcorn. Our Water Play Day Friday includes sprinklers on the grass, an inflatable water sprinkler, a splash pad, and wetting down the sand to make sandcastles.
Lunch & Snack: Please pack lunch for your camper each day if they will be staying with us for Above & Beyond extended care after 11:30 am. Choice Lunch is not available during the summer. We are a nut-sensitive school and do not allow any nut products on campus at any time. We will provide a morning and afternoon snack for our campers.
Sunscreen & Medication: Please apply sunscreen to your camper before arriving at camp. If you would like our camp staff to reapply your camper’s sunscreen, please complete the Sunscreen Authorization Form and place it in a Ziploc bag along with your child’s sunscreen. Please give it to your child’s teacher on their first day of camp. Please CLICK HERE for the Sunscreen Authorization Form.
If your camper will have medication on file with us (i.e. inhaler, epi pen, Benadryl, Children’s Motrin or Tylenol, etc.), please complete the Medication Authorization Form and place the medication in a Ziploc bag along with your camper’s medication to be administered at school. Please make sure your child’s medication is in the original packaging with the doctor’s prescription. Please bring it to the Preschool Office on your child’s first day of camp. Please CLICK HERE for the Medication Authorization Form.
Camp Rules: Arrive at camp ready to praise the Lord and HAVE FUN!
